Module G Exercise

                What do all kids like to do? Play games? Use a computer? Learn new things? So, why not do all three at once? In the Integration corner under chapter seven I found a great website to satisfy all three things that children like to do most, now-a-days. This website is called PrimaryGames.com. This website is colorful and user friendly. Also, I really liked how the website is themed. For example, right now it has turkeys on it, representing Thanksgiving.

                On the top of the page there are boxes with all kinds of subjects to choose from. Each subject has different kinds of games to choose from to play. Each game, however, is geared toward that particular subject. So, these children are learning by playing games on the computer. It’s like having your cake, eating it, and taking home a piece too! The website is so easy to use the children are capable of doing it themselves. However, it is the internet so all precautions for children being on the world wide web still have to be put into consideration. No matter how great or user friendly a webpage is, children should never be left alone while on the internet.

                This website is great for students to learn knew things while using their skills on the computer. I have included the website here for anyone who would like to see this cool stuff on their own.

Module F Exercise

                In chapter 1 integration corner, I found a website that called, Teachers With The Web!, helps teachers with using the internet within their classroom. On the first page of the website, there are four options of either kindergarten all the way up to 12^th grade. After clicking on one of those four options, the website gives you a list of possible lessons to teach in the classroom. Then after picking that topic, the website gives you more options of either informational websites, coloring and painting websites, and theme pages for printing out the activity. For example, I clicked on K-2, and then clicked on the topic bears; and I got many websites with information on bears, coloring pages to do, and pages to print for even more fun in the classroom. All the information and resources are available via the internet. This website is extremely useful for teachers who need an easy website activity for the classroom. The options for lesson topics are easy to find and colorful (which a teacher doesn’t really need, but if the students are navigating to the websites themselves.) This website is also perfect for any teacher since it is useful for all grades. I know this website is great because I have already used it for the class that I volunteer in every Thursday.
